After some lovely weeks we have an absolute stinker. Can any help with this:
49a Picture Greek going as a result of it?
(3,7,2,4,6)
Looks like The Madness Of King George.

Yeah, it's just a terrible crossword. Your answer is correct.

Can you explain that answer, I can’t see it at all.

“Greek going” is an anagram of King George!

Thanks for that, Jono. I hadn't given the parsing any thought yesterday, just stuck in answers where I could (and where I could see that they were probably correct).

Thank you Jono, what a terrible clue. I'm not sure what I hate most, the fact there's no anagram indicator in the clue or the use of 'picture' as the definition, which is so vague as to be meaningless.

I concur with the 'stinker' verdict. Especially 16a in my case! But I wonder whether anyone can explain 10d for me?

'Having no siblings? What's more jolly!' (4-3).

I have O * L */ T * O. The solution is apparently 'Only too'. Can anyone parse this for me please? I got as far as 'only one' but couldn't see the jump to 'only too'...or the meaning thereof!

Only, having no siblings
Too, what's more, and etc.
Only too, jolly, extremely, very (not jolly, cheery!). It's in Chambers.

I think it unfair to describe this as a "terrible crossword". Difficult certainly.

Everything parses. 49 across WAS (excuse the Donald Trump keyboard style) tricky, but works out in the end.
