Check your third letter in 10a - I had that wrong for a while. I agree about 5a
Struggled through to the end, but didn't enjoy it, particularly the one letter abbreviation in21a!

Ianwil, your letters are correct. It’s one of those pesky anagrams of multiple parts I mentioned earlier. It’s also not supported in any dictionary I own.

I was going to add that I've never heard of a 1a (available on Amazon!) or a 25a.

Thanks, Chris. I thought you meant the 3rd crosser not the 3rd letter. I wasn't entirely happy with 5d because of the PhD. I'll ponder a while.

The definition for 5d includes PhD.

10a, 3rd letter is wrong. Word play is cockney rhyming slang for mate, followed by usual abbreviation of with. For the unit, you are probably more familiar with its 100-fold multiple - check the Greek prefix that indicates this. Definition is last few words.
