Well folks as a result of some unusualy aggressive voting we have a clear winner!

In joint 3rd place with 7 votes we have;

Tyke 10, Jon 17, and Hamlet 25

In second position we have Jon 16

However thanks to SS plumping for a single vote of 6 points as well as twos and threes from others, this weeks runaway winner is Buddy 8 with his well-disciplined 8;

“A spell in the corner for unruly mite with endless pouts”

(There’s a lesson there for my 12 year-old…oh no she liked the prize!)

You prize has therefore got to be some low-brow (rare?) occasions where parents actually win;

Apologies for the narrator. London’s finest.
Congrats again!

Sam -don’t forget to check out Clueless on Mon evening and Peer Review on Thu eve.

Thanks sam, jon, tyke, spike, geting and ss for the votes, and to paul for hosting and prize (the stuff a parent's dreams are made of - although the fact that it was all filmed and posted to social media has me wondering about the mental age of all involved...).

I suspect that the simons noticed that I was far enough ahead that they'd have to give another clue 3 or 4 votes to overtake me, and barring that, why not give me a 6? In for a penny, in for a pound. The alternative (that I wrote the greatest clue in history) seems implausible.

Speaking of the greatest clues in history, my 4th Rookie Corner puzzle will appear on Big Dave's site tonight at midnight UK time. I'm sure you will all want to stay up late to work it as soon as it appears.

I will be around to host next weekend but I won't be playing for a few weeks as we are off to a long-delayed trip to Yosemite soon.

Great job in Rookie Corner, Buddy. The first reviews are very positive. I recall the answer to 21a from a previous Clueless, I think it was Chris who set the word, but I’ll say no more.
