Good fun from Eclogue, as ever. As the extra letters began to stack up, I had early hopes of 2d featuring in the endgame. Dear me, no!

Good fun and an interesting read-up on the theme.

A pleasant solve. Since I too was fixated on 2 down, my fifteen minutes grid staring has clearly been in vain! I don't bother much longer if it doesn't jump out fairly quickly.

At 72 my life is literally too short!
