I managed with just web searches. 1 down was my way in. I found it quite interesting, enjoyable and much easier than last week’s one.

Thom, I just Googled the entries from the Downs and the first 'hit' showed me what to highlight.

Thanks Malone. Maybe I've gotten something wrong. But I can't see what - the first and last letter from the extra words in the downs just gives me a string of what appears to be random letters?

Are you reading all the first letters first, then doing the same with the last letters?

Aha! I had made one error re: the entry without an additional word. And then the 'first then last separately' sorted it out for me. Thank you. Fun one!
