I’ve found all the unclued lights except the quote which is proving impossible to find. Any and all hints gratefully accepted.

Also, is 1a “person x ON person y” ?

I’ve found a reasonably priced copy on eBay so I’ll just wait for that to arrive. I need a copy of it in some edition anyway. Thanks for the tip!

with that enumeration if I start at 8 down I have nh - is it from 1 down?

The quote starts in the 3rd cell of 12a. The entire top row is the names.

gawdelpus - in reply to your first post, I presume that the top line is "person x ON person y", as you suggest. Since the cells are unchecked, it would have been preferable to have had a more concrete steer from Fieldfare.
