What a pleasant surprise! Thanks so much, darla, although I’m not overly thrilled about the tax “lesson.” 🤓 I hate doing returns, naturally, and I NEVER get a refund, and I just got a letter from the MA Department of Revenue claiming that I didn’t list the amount I paid tax on in RI as MA income too (I did) and demanded that I pay extra, in effect making me pay three state taxes on that amount in addition to the federal
tax. Vultures! Sorry about the rant. I’ll try to think of something soothing and lovely for next week…

Nice one aristo, and don't feel and about not getting a refund - a refund means you made an interest-free loan to the government. Better to owe as much as possible without having to pay an underpayment penalty (that way, the govt is making an interest free loan to you).

Thanks darla, although I no longer have an oeuvre after a course of antibiotics. And if you're waiting for the government to create a tax program that works as well as TurboTax, well, google "problems with FAFSA".
