Maybe it was the word choice, maybe it was because it's Easter, but a quiet contest this weekend, with just eight contributors and fifteen clues. Thank you to all who took part, thanks St.michel for the greeting, and wishing SS a happy holiday in the Saharan sands.
The votes were spread around so everyone was rewarded. It was nice to see newcomer Amej blithely doing well, I loved the image of Paul's tribe on a luxury vacation, and of course Chrise's Monty Python was going to be a crowd pleaser. Three entries gradually pulled away, however, and there was a tie at the top, leaving the dilemma of how to interpret the 'first place' rule.
Bacchanal@17 scored 1,1, 2, 2, 2, 2,
Jono@13 scored 0, 1, 2*, 2, 3*, 2
Where J is asterisked he received more points than B from the person voting, whereas B never outright received the most votes from any one individual. Therefore, even though overall more people voted for Bacchanal's clue, I conclude that Jono is the winner and offer my commiserations to Bacchanal.
I hope that this result is acceptable to all.
