Thanks for the hints. I have finished at last. But I cant see why the 6,3 has to be in the colour, If it had been the 5,4 the colour would have been appropriate

Grunger, glad you got there. I now can't remember all the details (as I'm definitely not a fan), but I resolved that with checking out the lyrics, checking the listings for what's on 6, 3 and goodness knows what else now!

I cant think why it has to be in that colour. Your solution would have made for a better finish. I can see why you were thinking of the wizard theme.

I spent some time, as I suspect most did, looking for a synonym for (5,4) as that is the only logical reason to use the color. My guess is that Botox just couldn't get the grid to work (is there even a 9 letter synonym for (5,4)?). So we get a colorful (or cowardly?) (6,3) instead.

Thanks to Botox for an interesting puzzle.

I wasn't able to make a start on this until yesterday. As others have said, it wasn't as daunting as the first read-through of the preamble suggested but I still at a loss as to where to put the bar in the bottom row. My first thought was after the changed part of the perimeter but that seems a little too obvious.

AP, I found there was only one place where the bar could go... and yes, a little disappointing really!
