Hi everyone

Not feeling great, but have managed over three quarters, but stuck on SW corner. I've no idea who the Farceur is in 14d and have very few crossers. Is it an anagram? Perhaps a hint for one or two will help.

16ac: I just have ?C?????D
18d: I have ????E?S I thought the definition would be "rock" or a ride at a fair. (Oh just got it)
24ac: I just have ?N????

I'll go and nurse my cold (I'm still feeling poorly on the sixth day!!!) and see if any more answers strike. I'm intrigued by your comments on 21ac.

Thanks Chris I was assuming the definition was the Farceur. So I have now finished.

Yes Geeker, I had got 26,6 ac, though I didn't get it straight away as I should have. Thanks for pointing it out.

21ac is my nemesis in the garden.

I had a lot of trouble parsing 1d, but have just got it. Parsing for 11ac remains a mystery to me, though I'm sure of my answer. Otherwise I think I got most of the definitions fairly quickly.

My FOI was 10ac, my LOI was 24ac and my CODs are 22ac, 21ac and 20d. I didn't expect to do at all well when I started, but ended up making slow but steady progress. Many thanks to the Forum for helping me crack 14d which enabled me to finish.

11a is "quiet", then a three letter "rock" (a bit loose) around a three letter "song refrain" (even looser!)
