It's easy enough to print them out - I always do the Guardian puzzle on a printout, as our newsagent doesn't open until 9 - but you wouldn't be able to see the solutions!

Guardian setter, Boatman, has two books, each of 50 puzzles. The solutions are accompanied by a narrative with insights about the construction, thought process etc and sometimes comments from the community. I admit to bias in this recommendation as I’m mentioned twice in the second book ;-)

On the subject you raise. The grid in the Guardian today has four 5 letter solutions each with only two crossing lights; four 7 letter solutions each with only three crossing lights; and four 9 letter solutions with only four crossers, which makes it particularly unfriendly.
