We have geting @3, jono @8, and paul @16 tied for first with five votes, and ss @4 and 20 and tyke @5 and 11 tied for second with three. Great clues all around. I’m giving the edge to paul with his:

CID cracked critical threat to vital shipping information (4,5)

The tide differential on our island in the Gulf of Maine is typically twelve feet or so, and although I witness this phenomenon twice a day it still fills me with wonder. In nearby New Brunswick it can be as much as fifty-six feet (although usually in the forties I think). The prize is a couple of videos of the Bay of Fundy in action.

I used to live (and sail) in the Channel Islands which have an enormous tidal range of up to 12 metres.
