paul, I think the correct response is, "hey, only buddy was clever enough to get my Bunuel reference".

I too thought he was referring to Bunuel.

Perhaps even double Bunuel ref, as "criminally visionary" suggests the opening of Un Chien Andalou ;-)

(Kibitzing...have been on a slump and taking a break from most contests)

Top three are Paul @8, Jono @12, and Aristo @25. As it is not WPR, I have to pick just one, so I'm going with Aristo.

The voting has been completed and by my reckoning, there were 26 entries from 11 setters. It’s turned out to be The Jono Show this week having achieved Gold, Silver and Bronze for his @11, @12 and @13, each of which gained 2 votes. The chasing pack were darla, geting, aristo, paul and (surprise!) jono, each of whom got one vote.

Not that it really matters, but my favourite of the 3 is jono’s @11:
“Bizarre and silly quarrels? Don’t start!”
so I’m going to award that one the Gold.

Many congratulations, jono.

The prizes. When I first thought of the word, I had intended a prize to include the Buñuel eye scene, but I should have guessed it was already well-known. It does feature, though, in this short intro to surrealism by Peter Capaldi: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uPD6okhfGzs
And a dreamy song to go with it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9SQAdwdTSTM

Thanks to all for taking part. I really enjoyed reading all the entries.

Cheers.
