Thanks to all who entered a cornucopia of good clues this week. It's intriguing to see how many permutations can be wrung out of a single word.
Touches I liked were; h1982's Shakespeare's art and astrological acrostic, paul's 'arms akimbo', simplesimon's 'clever clogs', jono's 'Starmer's flipflops', and (ahem) #15, buddy's 'Xi's downfall,
geting's 'spruce damage' and dismembered Christmas tree, chrise's 'Smartie'.
An extremely difficult choice. Partly because it made me smile, I've chosen simplesimon's acrostic #11 as this week's winner ...
