Has anyone completed today’s challenge? I have a complete grid but my removed letters don’t make any sense so I’m struggling. Can anyone throw a slight glimmer of advice please?

The first word of the instruction is a very common part of a thematic puzzle endgame to show you’ve understood it. The penultimate word is hyphenated, of oriental origin, and is the key to understanding the unclued answers. And the last word of the instruction is 9 letters

Struggling to parse 10a. I know the answer, but cannot see where the last three letters come from. Also it gives me extra J where really it should be extra H. Any hints please?

The definition is the last word. Capuchin (3 letters) surrounds time (4 letters, H is extra), with before (1 letter) entering (I.e. inside time). It’s bit convoluted
