Always late to the party I found this challenging but have got most of them bar 19d, and am struggling to see why 5a and 20d are the only things I can think that fit.

A bit of quantum non related enlightenment would be welcome.

5a is a hidden word. it wasn't one i knew.
20d parses 4,2
19d the locks could be on one's head

Finally finished – I think – though I can't quite make my solution for 8dn stand up. Can someone give a parsing hint, including where the definition is?
