A capital N would be a bend, inside Bed! I think most solvers use caps).

Corner beads or angle beads are used in the building trade to strengthen plasterboard or drywall joins and corners.

Rusty, I really liked your answer initially, but then went off it! The only definition part would be Corner... and Corner to Bead seems a little inadequate. (PS I don't mind at all if I am totally wrong.)

Malone, I am struggling to see where the "n" comes from for "bend".
But bend looks better than bead!

Thanks, Rusty. I went off exploring, looking at loads of pictures of road signs! I managed to find something which said ' The 'N' sign is often accompanied by other warning signs such as 'sharp curve' or 'steep hill'. However... that piece also said the N referred to a narrow road or lane, nothing about bends!
