I am stuck on 32a "matter involving pounds, advantageous (4)"

I think it's ?RUS but may have gone wrong. All help gratefully received.

Looks like PLUS - L (pounds) inside PUS

Are there any other overriding instructions, like change Left into Right?

YEs plus - fits with my down clue for gypsy

It's nearly right - try the "zin" in the dictionary

I've finished, but have a couple of gnawing existential questions and doubts. 24a: I have ENZED, figuring that it's a region that kiwis are confined to, but otherwise don't get the clue. Is this answer right? 9d: I have SUNI, but can't figure out why.
