Quem, which means/meant 'which'. Qu, question and Me, reversed/recalled.

Thank you. There wasn’t much call for Latin in Gasworks Secondary Modern so it’s not my strong point haha

I think Malone is correct but why “you and”?

Jono, I wondered if it should be Q, question, then U and Me (recalled...)?

PS When I looked further into Quem, it seems to have been Whom... so maybe my answer is wrong...

i've found a translation of the carol "quem pastores laudavere" as "whom of old the shepherds praised", though my two years of latin suggests the "of old" might come from the next line.

If it’s any help, the clue down which gives the E is - “Singer-songwriter and his choice of key producing amazement” (9) which I think is WONDERING.

Thanks, ChrisE. Yes, I found two instances of quem, whom - but couldn't track down any quem, which, as in the clue. Maybe the word is broad enough to cover both meanings?

Ad quem seems to mean ` to which ` in the legal profession!
