Well, I made very heavy weather of this and didn't particularly enjoy it. Like others, there were some that I guessed from the crossers and worked back to the wordplay. I have the answers but still can't see 7d, 20a or 16d. Not my finest hour.
20a is 2 1 2 with the 1 being what you do on a ballot sheet. Against gives you the first two letters but itās pretty obscure. Like you I think I have 16d but canāt parse it but Chancellor of the Exchequer gives you the last two letters. Yet to get 7d
