Can anyone explain the answers to the following 2 clues:

33 dn: Newspaper covered MP in Barking displaying short-sightedness (12)

41 ac: Queen Mother leaves African from fabulous kingdom (10)

I think 33 dn is ‘improvident’ (displaying short-sightedness). Newspaper and MP gives ‘imp’, but I don’t understand the rest.

I think 41 ac is ‘Ruritania’ (fabulous kingdom), but I cannot see where the rest fits in.

Any help appreciated.

33 Is the answer not Improvidence? It says 12 letters...

33 Anagram ('Barking') of 'covered MP in' and I, newspaper.

Barking is an anagram indicator

Malone is correct. Anagram (barking) of “covered MP in”

41 looks like Ruritanian. R + (Ma)uritanian

33 I (newspaper) + ANAGRAM OF COVEREDMPIN

Thanks all for your replies. I apologise for the typo in my post. I of course meant to say ‘improvidence’, not ‘improvident’. I did not think of ‘Barking’ as an anagram indicator. I will try to remember that if it comes up again.
