Welsh fellow acted badly pinching Ophelia’s opening - it’s what Hamlet thought of her! (3-5)

Act III, Scene 1, Hamlet to Ophelia…

God hath given you one face and you make yourself another!

and in the same scene…

“Get thee to a nunnery…”

In Shakespeare’s day the audience would have interpreted “nunnery” as “brothel“…
(nothing to do with the clue, just amusing)

That shouldn’t have been a quotation mark of course.

As Tyke may say, anything overlooked is likely to come back and bite you (3-5)

OWT, dialect word for 'anything', reversed (over) + FACED, looked.
Overly long, but I didn't want 'owt' to go unused. Apologies to Tyke for using his name in vain.

CLUELESS 664
Thanks for your varied entries and welcome again to barryc and simplesimon, the latter obviously familiar to contestants from well before my time. Not much is revealed by all you people with mystery handles, but appropriate this week to know that simplesimon embodies two faces.

Mattrom and jono dug deep and imaginatively and there were several ingenious anagrams but none quite made my top three places. I favour the pithy with a smooth surface and clues which I can imagine appearing in my favourite cryptics.

Bronze: Hearing also encountered lying (3-5) tyke51@21
Silver: Hypocritical couple confronted (3-5) tyke51@12
Gold: Deceitful couple knock back coffee (3-5) geting@3

Nearly there, tyke, but congratulations, geting! You are awarded two prizes which I hope you find informative and entertaining in turn.
