[Note to self: If I ever pick a really short word with lots of definitions to clue, make sure I do it for Peer Review and not Clueless].

Have fun, paul.

Wow what a record turnout! So much inspiration!
So many great clues - Buddy you were right! OK I have to pick a shortlist so here it is. Particular favourites - Jon 2 for the products of the scullery, Mattroms ingenius filp out 3 (proving Romans are not her type), Buddy 4 (quiet at the back), Geeker's problem with the staff 9, Darla's unbalanced crew 3, Darla's self absorbed couple 17, Geekers response 22, Paul H's wounded warrior 24, and Tyke's Supreme 40 There were many others...
Anyway just squeaking ahead (Denis Healey reference inspired by your clue) is this weeks winner - Paul H 24;

"I'm feeling the pain after end of bitter argument" (3)

Your prize; how rows in the wild put ours to shame;

Well done again!
