In the interest of full disclosure I should point out that LA Galaxy finished 13th out of 14 in the Western Conference of MLS this year so perhaps they are a 4th or 5th rate team.

Here is an amusing (to me, anyway, having lived in LA) story about LA Galaxy. As many of you probably know, any game between Real Madrid and Barcelona is referred to as El Clasico. LA in fact has two MLS teams, Galaxy and LAFC, which are across town from each other. When these two teams play, and because LA traffic is every bit as bad as the stereotype would have it, the game is referred to as "El Trafico." (The installment in July 2023 drew 80,000+ fans to the Rose Bowl.)
