Two queries, first 13 Down "Good deal of mixed sorbets in wooden trap (7,3)".The answer is LOBSTER POT - LOT + anagram of sorbets. My question is how the "P"?

Secondly, 17 Down "General release, against goodness outside home (7)". The answer is AMNESTY - NEST (home) but do we assume "A" is against and "MY" an exclamation, as in "My goodness"?
