I found it to be a relatively easy stroll with a minimal amount of grid staring to finish it off. Lots of generous clueing. Love the title!!

Can anyone give a hint as to what to put in silver cell please?

Whoever occupied the silver cell would have taken the opportunity to skedaddle (I think}.

When trying to locate the 19 extra squares, do some grid entries have more than 1 cell vacated.
