Please could all Forum Members read the Posting Guidelines, in particular Clause 5.

I've amended the PGs to spell out that the maximum of 3 queries per post applies to Crosswords as well as Quizzes.

That is the only alteration.

Hi Norah
I cannot email, due to the mail server being down for an hourl
re clause 5 do you mean "the idea is that the solver supplies the answers to the 3 queries, not the whole crossword"

Fair point, Jazz, I’ve amended it to read :

The whole idea is that the solver supplies the answers to a crossword, not a Crossword Forum.

I’m not sure what that means - it seems counterintuitive

It seems to me to mean that a forum user may post questions about up to three clues for any given crossword. Please correct me if I'm wrong, Norah. Yesterday a user posted a request for help on a list encompassing nearly the entirety of a puzzle.

The new guidance seems a bit muddled to me. Three queries per post or three queries per crossword?
I note the post by the person asking for a dozen or more has been deleted.

Good morning Norah
Three per post I understand

It is the end bit which says "supplies the answers to a crossword, not a Crossword Forum" that I don't understand.

I take your point, Jazz, I’ve reworded Clause 5 in the PG’s. I’m trying to avoid shopping lists.

I’ve deleted the long post which contained a list of clue numbers and emailed the member concerned asking him to read the Posting Guidelines.

Ah, I see Jazz, I was trying to say that the solver should supply the answers, not the Crossword Forum. I’ve look at that bit again.

I’ve just amended the clause, it is now a simple sentence with no reference to the Forum.
