Aristo, do you find the sentence made of the outside letters any use at all?

Actually, I did find it useful. My last two entries were in the northwest and they had me flummoxed. I checked off the perimeter letters I had and was left with four, and these made it easy to solve the clues.

Then I shall diligently cross off the edge letters as I find them. Not many yet!

Could I ask for some more help,please?
For 22 I have the letters PURELL. Can't make any sense of them.
Does 35 end in X?

Purell is the trade name of a hand sanitizer; it was EVERYWHERE during the pandemic, and still is.
And yes, 35 ends with X.
