Good day all, hello early birds. Sailed through this today. Cannot resolve the debate over 22d but it worked for me.

COD is 12d though I imagine some of you have seen it before.

Similarly, 21d is probably quite well known but it did make me smile. Agree with earlier post on the primarily variation even though I dislike them.

Almost too easy. Except 22d which seems a poor definition.

Have to agree with other comments about this being an easy one as i finished it before finishing my coffee. LOI was 22d and as a Brit I have to say it is not a word in common usage.

yes, too easy to be satisfying. did it over breakfast.

21d was my FOI contrary to others solvers who had it as their LOI -funny how minds work. Mind you I start in the SE as sometime told me the setters had run out of steam by the time they get there.
LOI was 22 which took me 15 mins of going through the alphabet with the second and fourth letters in place.
Can't say I ever referred to them as the answer.
Two completed in a row. Can I make it a hattrick next week?

A quick solve but no green tick in the app even after double checking and correcting 12d change of direction.

12d is a poor clue as it's ambiguous, though i think the s is just favourite
