I agree with Malone, writing on last week's thread, that this puzzle is extremely enjoyable. Looking back over the past few months, I see that CheeseCracker has IMHO given us some of the most satisfying recent puzzles, up there with the best of Pabulum, from whom we've heard little of late. I hope he isn't unwell.

The toughest one yet, for me, but very enjoyable . l have just one unclued to solve and I may have an error with 18a which makes no sense as yet. I have ?AR?R

Hi Jazzgirl, I haven't done it but could it be TASER? A bit vague I know but it could sort of fit .... at a stretch?

I could change the middle R to S and have a new unclued at 10d which looks OK.

I've never actually tried a Spectator but it does seem to universally popular and get regular praise on here so might give it a go.
