Overall this was much easier than usual for a Guardian prize, I found, but quite a few clues still took a fair bit of effort. FOI 21, which I saw as soon as I read the clue. LOI 14a, for which even after I knew what the answer had to be, I struggled for some time to work out why. Contenders for COD are 1a, 4d, 5a, 5d. I think I'll go for 5d. I am ashamed to say that it took me a couple of minutes to get 20d, which I should have got immediately, as the first half of it is something I've been stuck with all my life.

Well done you lot. I don't seem to be on Picaroon's wavelength, though.

Almost half done. Any clues for 5A & D?

Cymro, 3d: well known designer "stores", i.e. contains, abbreviation for "new", then 3-letter "bound". The whole is a method of seeking new broadcast entertainment.

3 letters ‘popular’, 2 letters ‘record’ (an old type), both after 4 letters ‘let it be’ (in a religious sense)

Can anyone tell me what a ghost anagram is? I searched on Google, but just found a load of irrelevant stuff such as old crossword clues which were anagrams containing the word "ghost". Maybe if I spent more time searching I would eventually find it, but no doubt one of you can kindly spare me the effort.
