Yes, but that was not due to a victory in a popular vote, more like sneaking through the electoral college.

I found it...WPR 173: my composite anagram got 5 votes, second on tiebreak to paul. And I think I had an earlier CA that fared well. So there's hope.

But it's so much easier to blame it on "voter bias against a clue type" rather than "my clue stunk'!
