Thanks to Vismut for an excellent EV. Some elegantly twisted clues and a very satisfying end game. The homophonic entry in 37 gave me a grin.

I agree, Jack, this was a lovely puzzle. There were some excellent clues and the whole thing tied together really neatly.

I skimmed your post initially - and read 'homophobic', a shock to my system. I was glad I read it again, properly.

Vismut in fine form as always. I wonder if the final entry at 4 down was intentional or a happy coincidence. I suspect the former.

Along with 37, I would vote for it being another Easter Egg.
