I was also thrown off by 13ac. I thought the poet was the slightly obscure Mary Jo Bang, from BAN + G.

But now I'm not sure. The obvious fit would make it what? A triple definition?

13a is a triple definition, and it doesnโ€™t begin with B

Nearly there with this one, just a couple of the short answers that have me in a quandary. I know which part of the world clue I need as I have the long answers but won't make that too obvious. I have candidate answers but the parsing eludes me. (I struggled to get on the parsing wavelength of Arcadia in the 'World' clues generally but got there in the end, often working backwards from the answer).

The 2 for the short answers are:

- Without question quite odd case takes...
- Bit of old song runs about giants being......

Hints, if possible, appreciated. ๐Ÿ‘

Can't make anything of
Old, old march unknowns have entering compound.
Especially it being jumbled for some reason that may become clear.
Any help appreciated.

Eraserman, I can only say what I made of it, I think it's right but it's a bit of a bits and pieces clue.

The first 'old' is the usual single letter, the 'unknowns' may be axes, the old march is an old word which I'd never heard of (4) for the month of March and tucked inside is a shortened, possibly Scottish 'have' (2).

A 'compound' is the result. (Chemical).
