Sorry didn't spot it was 6 letters so my answer is ******* (got carried away I think with A1 being first rate so assumed it was right).

Many thamks, Jim C! One's mind convinces one of a certain order of letters but, at the time, it wasn't obvious to see that longer answer. The 'N' from the end of that one made me see 'AUNTIE' almost immediately, but by the time I went back to the forum, you'd beaten me to it! For so long I was convinced this began with 'AI' and the answer was something to do with 'AIR'! Thanks again!
