I opted for one word as well, Another of the winners from three weeks ago is a friend of mine.

Not really enjoying the unlued. I think I know what I am looking for after solving 37a 34a and 26a but it now means looking for a list of the others.
Just out of interest, those who own Bradfords, is there a list there?
I still haven't been tempted to buy one but if there is such a list, that would help enormously and save a lot of time :)

Jazzgirl from a quick glance, I'd say Bradford's has about half of the unclued entries. I didn't enjoy the puzzle once it got to the listing stage.

There is a list in Bradford's (owned by HarperCollins) but the one to be highlighted isn't in my 2022 edition as he became the latest addition to the list only in April this year.

AP, maybe my Bradord's is too old, it's the 2018 edition- but I think three or four of the names, not counting the latest addition, aren't there.

Hi Malone. Apart from the latest incumbent the others are all listed in the 2022 Bradford's.

Hi jazzgirl, I empathise. Wikipedia helped me to fill some of the unclueds, but I am baffled as to the most recent addition to the group which must be highlighted in the completed grid. This is the kind of frustrating final hurdle which Doc's puzzles often include; I hope that it is not what we must now also expect from Lavatch.
