The other one is set to (argument) p (pressure) boxes (fights).

I'd never have got 28A - unhelpfully my set-top box is under the TV, thus making this idea even more unlikely to occur to me. Perhaps, given the width of TV tops these day, we really need a better description.

I think the answer is 'hotel', but what is 'in Brighton' doing in the clue, it works without it?

Yummy mummy? (27 is 'rhymes').

26 NIGH , then RETRO P(o)T reversed

38 in the word Brighton, H (hotel) appears after G (golf)

39 Yummy and mummy both rhyme with tummy (corporation, as a child might call it)
