3) is an anagram of 'is her' giving RHINE.

... and 1) is ananagram of 'the son' giving HONEST.

7) is SCHOOL, being from 'School for Scandal' the comedy written by Richard Brinsley Sheridan.

Not sure about this one, but 2) could be WRECK as in 'The Wreck of the Hesperus' by Longfellow. It has a silent letter in it.
