16D Bigwig entertaining bridge team to make sharp form of visual communication (9). I have ??E?P?O?E. Semaphore looked a possibility but doesn’t fit.
15A Nationalist approach to festival right? Not 20A. (5). I have ????R
Any strong hints will be appreciated.

14d I think ENCOMIASTS. but that would imply OCEAN plus MISTS for currents, which might not be correc.

1 will be encomiasts - an anagram of ocean mists???

14d looks like ENCOMIASTS (those who praise). Anagram of "ocean" is in there, but it leavse "mists" - even if this gives "currents" (?) it would be an indirect anagram.

16d VIEWPHONE

For 15a, perhaps you could tell us the solution to 20a. Otherwise difficult to guess.
