An interesting extra challenge once the puzzle is complete. Regular solvers will know where to send their solution, but beginners will be at a loss. Is the address in the print edition - it certainly isn't on line? I hope the competition won't be ruled invalid.

I don't know why they've been omitted from the PDF of the puzzle, but the instructions do appear online behind the second hyperlink, labelled 'Click here for rules and requests and T&Cs'.

Hi is anyone doing this. I only have 1 across left to do. It has taken me ages to do but very enjoyable. Could anyone give me a clue. I assume the hidden word is in pat????

Yes, the break is at PA/T with the two word grid entry making two words in the clue

and SEARING becomes 3 words with the addition.
