2 Leading employers take unusual interest in case involving several points (4)
All Items are household furniture or kitchen utensils Thanks

For the first clue ... ALMIRAH is the answer, I think. It is a type of cabinet and is an anagram of AL(nearly 'all') + HAIR(locks) + M(March first letter).

Thank you very much for those two answers. I had discarded almirah but your explanation has clarified it for me. Also I do not think I would have arrived at Etui without the cryptic experience. I am pleased to have the answers as I am learning all the time
