Really enjoyed this but came a cropper one one clue:

For the 10-letter answer at 15ac, the wordplay needs a 5-letter "film".

There are two different films which lead to the same answer, but with different missing letters!

I like to think that was intentional, because it was quite dastardly if so.

All done except for the final sentence in the preamble. I have a three-word phrase of 13 letters, but am puzzling over what's required after that. Should some cells be overwritten with numerics? A gentle hint would be appreciated! Thanks!

Similarly, I'm not sure how to insert the answer but, as an elderly mathematician, the wonderful underlying anagram is a revelation. With a suitably clever grid construction.

I took it to mean insert one relevent number, in the position it would be in ,if the grid were numbered as usual. (could easily be wrong)
