All of these I think I'm more interested in how to solve the clues, rather than get the answers.

So if anyone can give me a nudge in the right direction I would be in your debt.

Also, is 20 across "Soldier on"?

Ceffi, I'm sorry, I didn't read all the way to the bottom - I was answering and watching tv at the same time.

PS 2 D is a well known type of bird, flier. A word for furious, followed by one ball/round thing.
