I’ve never seen “Emergency” either, but it seems to be rerun perpetually. Looks pretty hokey.

Well, it was hokey, but so were the 1970s. The show was created by the folks who gave us Dragnet and was basically the first to show paramedics in action, and is actually credited with increasing the public's demand for professionally trained EMTs which were apparently rare in those days:

I recall the TV show, watched it some, it didn't make a major impression but I didn't watch overly much TV. I think it ranked as a rather good show at the time...many '70s artifacts don't age well.
Watching the trailer, I only now realized that Julie London, one of the headliners, was also a rather famous singer.
