20a. Work of 13- not me(5). I have e?e?t. Looks like event, but can't parse. Answer to 13a is semtex.

Hi Mildred - could it be EXERT? At least that fits the definition, some relation to 13 as shares some letters minus ME but still doesn’t fully correlate.

Hi Paul, that sounds good. Myops' clues and answers didn't always fully correlate but I still like to complete and understand. Thanks!

20a) I think it is a misprint and should be work of 12 - the answer is extreme.

They’ve really cocked it up this week. They’ve reprinted the puzzle from 21st January, omitted a whole light/clue (7d which was originally “wood port”. Ans HALIFAX).

This has made a nonsense of 6d which originally correctly pointed to 8 ac ( ALL UP) but this is now 7 ac. The clue still says 8.

Meanwhile they had EXTREME/EXERT correctly numbered back on the 21st but now they’ve messed it up.

Not impressed.
