I see the clue "elected president " quite a lot. Does this allude to any president? Past or present? & is it likely to be initials?
& starting with crummy, would that hint at an anagram?

Ceffi, in this clue the 'elected president' is very literal - a two-letter word for 'elected' and the abbreviation for president. That goes inside a three-letter word for (a) drink. Crummy is the definition.
