I've somehow managed to solve the entire grid, but am missing 7 of the 24 letters. I can't even figure out letters which would work in the gaps I have.

Can't even figure out what question to ask in order for help.

All I can think of saying is that the last few letters look almost like a number, but has an extra letter from 27ac.
And that I previously assumed the title might refer to 14d and a certain cartoon.

Very many Chalicea messages start with a 5 letter instuction (as does this one). The rest of this message is made up of just two numbers around 'and'.
I think the title is an affectionate term for the item in question (but I don't know anything about the cartoon you mention).

Indeed, Malone. I guess my prejudice is entirely evident, As far as I am concerned, Chalicea fans are - to use a local expression - “anyone who doesn’t have their brain on backwards”.

I've checked, JackA, my brain is certainly facing the right way. Still, life - and crosswords - would be very boring if we all liked the same things.
