Thanks for the clarification of 13D, Jono. One day setters will run out of abbreviations for copper, but it seems that day has not yet come!

I found this on the easier side but still enjoyed it. Always helps when your FOI is 1a and you get the first of the long rhyming pairs.

*pair (didn’t mean to imply there were two)

Interesting challenge today particularly the parsing thanks to Jono for that.

24a was new to me 20a I enjoyed.

All done except 5d.
I’ve got d-o-w-l, and am now wondering if the last letter is right as some people on here say it’s an issue.
Don’t know what else 16a can be though…..

Hi. Easy at first then quite hard. Can’t get 20a (p?i???a?l?n?) or 3 d. (Second word ?r?r??).
