Thanks for all your contributions this week. It's good to see Seamus again, and another welcome to Gecko and Rick1215.
I chose a word with seemingly few anagrams, but you have been very inventive with wordplay and definitions.
Touches I liked included; Fj's Spoonerism 23, the 'popular church' constructs from buddy 4, paul 18 and dorrien 19, paul's double def. 17, jono's symphonies 5&30, the 'unfinished works' from FJ 8 and gecko 11.

My slightly whittled down list included seamus 6, tyke 10, rick1215 #12, geeker 22, jono30.
As this week's winner, I've gone with something close to my heart, and simplesimon's acrostic 9

The general public, for starters, pray our protests unite leaders against climate extremes

Well done, SS! My search for prizes had me wishing I'd chosen another word, but these are related;
Some gentle music

Congrats SS and thanks mattrom.

I'm interested in your problems in finding prizes, mattrom, On the odd occasions I've set the task, I choose the prize first, then the word!

Nice one SS - well done! Thanks for the mention Mattrom and the good word choice - the second clip says Neanderthals died out when Humans spread across Europe - pretty sure there are still some around!
Pleased to see some new names this week - stick with it and enjoy the fun!

Initially Surruptitiously Subdued; victory ensued rapidly yet - nobody in contention elsewise!
Cheer Mattrom for the challenge and the likes!

Thank you Mattrom, really enjoyed the clips.
We’ve always enjoyed following ancient routes and managed to actually get to the Denisovan cave in Siberia some years ago and Gobeckli Tepi in eastern Turkey. Probably out of bounds nowadays - daughter in Oz did archaeology and ancient history degrees.
Like you, we’re eco fans, but not stuck ourselves to the M25!

Agree with Tyke, definitely some Neanderthals around!

Just finished typing up the minutes of our bowls club meeting so it was a nice surprise to see your response after closing the file.

Paul - We’ve got a good clue coming up in WPR just for you!

We preferred our frenzied copulation clue and thought it stood a chance as Spike hadn’t submitted a risqué one.
