CASH IN ONE'S CHIPS
I am an admirer of Times clues but here I didn't like to see ONE'S in both the clue and the solution.
I'm not that keen on apostrophes in solutions either, but accept that it's general practice and much would be lost if they were banned.
In pedantic thread mode I am a fervent supporter of apostrophes because they so often clarify meaning. The use of the possessive apostrophe would be much improved if people were taught that the apostrophe comes immediately after the 'owner' or 'owners', then add s if you need it. Much better than fiddly rules about singular and plural. Solves 'children's clothes' for instance.
